Ironically since the dealer is in Highpoint.. But one day I saw 15 Maserati's and I would think that at least 7 or 8 were Quattroporttes and of those 7 or 8 at least 6 were being used as Family cars with kids in booster seats in the back and mom's driving. We even looked at one for that
Eh...Maserati's are fairly common in Raleigh/Cary. I've seen seven this year so far, amongst HORRID weather, and was hardly out of the house until the middle of January. You'll definitely see more Bentley's in Charlotte than you will in Raleigh!
Anywhere in the Piedmont Triad you'll find nice cars. South Side of Charlotte (where south park is located), UNC - Greensboro Raleigh Area and Lake Norman Cornelius will be your best places to spot. And each area you'll have a better chance on spotting different cars. You will see a lot of antique Rolls Royce's here (Lake Norman) but no new ones, but you wont see as many Maserati's in Raleigh as you see in Charlotte. So It depends
Pretty much. It mostly depends where you are though. Take for instance that when I am visiting, I stay at my grandmother's house, which is near the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC). There are a lot of luxury cars there, but not many exotics. Off the top of my head, I only recall seeing three Maserati's, two Audi R8's, one Lotus Elise, four Nissan GT-R's, and oddball stuff like CTS-V's and Audi RS6's.
The south side of Charlotte is considerably better for car spotting. The Gallardo you saw was in a decent area (from the picture it looked like you were at Foreign Cars Italia when it drove by) but it's nothing compared to South Park. I can't wait till the summer gets here, since I only started spotting there at the end of the spotting season last year! If you're ever in the area again, shoot me and Parker a message and maybe we can all meet up!
It seems like Charlotte is really good for spotting, am I right? Nice find! Because when I was there for 1 hour I saw a 2014 QP, Gallardo Spyder LP1000-4 by UGR, and 2 F430 Spider!
I got lucky. The camera for some reason didn't take a pic so this is the only one I got. I also saw a Maserati and the Rolls Royce I keep seeing was on the side of the interstate with the owner looking through the Suicide doors. It was really odd.
