Description This R8 V10 is a special edition for China, limited to 30 units. Special features include R8GT-style bumpers, rims and rear wing. Owner added some carbon wrapping to this originally orange car.
if i were one of those million/billionaires i would do some research about any special edition car id be thinking about buying cause you could always wrap the standard car with the special edition stuff and save yourself alot of money
Yup, and Chinese people care a lot about their "face" and if they can boast about how their car is a special edition, it will boost their "face". Also, a lot of Chinese millionaires/billionaires know little about exotic cars but just want to have the prestige of owning them, my friend's dad bought a Ferrari California and knew nothing about it, I was giving him information about the car.
wtfsia I think you're correct. Lamborghini painted some stripes and put a "limited edition" plate on LP670-4 SV and then claimed it special for China. And there's always someone willing to spend more money for being "unique".
It's so car manufacturers can justify and give an unreasonable price for their cars and rip of rich people who couldn't care less, my friend's mother spent $150,000 on a 325i coupe just because it was a special edition, and the only thing special about it was it had a unique paint job, dark brown, and it came with 19 inch black rims.
why is it always china that has special editions i mean they have the 458, murcialago sv, the R8, i mean its like the only country i know of with its own special editions
@JmWheel It's actually quite confusing: there are 2 limited edition for China. Your link referred to the "2013 R8 China edition" limited to 80 units. The one in this picture is called "R8 limited edition", debutted in 2011 and limited to 30 units.
