Thanks much for a wonderful spot. This is the Bentley S.3 Continental drophead by H.J.Mulliner-Park Ward. Designed by the Scandinavian designer Vilhelm (Villem) Koren, hence the sometimes moniker of a "Korenental", for Rolls-Royce. These were cars designed for Rolls-Royce/Bentley customers with an extremely sophisticated sense of personal style. And were wildly popular with that group of buyers. They were fast, and extremely comfortable for long distance touring. This looks like a lovely car, with the exception of the, as always, incorrect tires. One has to assume, by the U.S. license plate that the car had come to the U.S. and was repatriated to the U.K.
This beautiful car seems to fit so well in this street scene. Could be a movie set. The fellow walking away from the car, but looking at it, adds something to the pic. I like how you caught the car so alone. A wonderful spot.
