Description After a year and a half, I spotted something where I live. According to the owner this is a 1987 and he was really happy to see me shooting it. He's had it since the early 00s and has had it in repair for a number of months because it got rear-ended. I put this under Brooklands because it's related to this car, the Bentley Eight. 1,637 Bentley Eights were produced. If anyone has a problem I can change it.
Yep, duh, the Brooklands. I saw one of them in Charlotte about a month ago; unfortunately the picture wasn't very good, so I'm not going to upload it here. I'm pretty sure it was a Brooklands, but I'm not sure.
Dang, I've missed a ton of your spottings. Great find and shot though. I've seen a few older Bentley's around, but I have a hard time telling this apart from the Mulsanne, Turbo R, and one other model that escapes me at the moment.
Yeah, Andrew, the owner keeps this outside (he's saving up to build a garage) but he puts it in his neighbor's garage during the winter and under a tarp when it rains.
Also, to add a sad bit of info. The car was missing a center cap on the front right wheel. The owner said he's looking for one but he can't find one yet Also, thank you for the compliment John. :)
Nice spot of the Bentley Eight, in quite correct style. The non chromed mag wheels, the Georgian Silver paint, and correct chrome plated grille shell with 'mesh' insert. Very right looking.
Great spot Brendon! Yeah, the guy probably doesn't get too much attention in this beauty so I get why he was happy to finally find someone who knew what it was lol
