Has the Jaguar F-Type been released before Paris? Well, actually no, but fortunately someone has been kind enough to leak a picture of Jaguar's new F-Type roadster. Originally scheduled for release at the 2012 Paris Motor Show on September 29, spy photographer Chris Doane released this picture onto his facebook, saying "Something interesting just popped into my mailbox." That could very well be an understatement as it is the first picture of the highly publicized and anticipated F-Type.
It sure is a real beauty isn't it? As this is the first picture of the car without camo, the details of the back are limited, but expect it to be very similar to the C-X16 concept from 2011. The only major change from the design seems to be the lack of a roof, although the hood and side intakes have been changed slightly.
Jaguar has confirmed a number of engines for the F-Type, with a 335 horsepower V6 in the base model, and a 375 HP version of the same engine slotting in above that. The performance gem of the range will have to be a supercharged 5 liter V8 making an estimated 450 HP. All three of these engines will be mated to either an 8-speed transmission or the rumored manual, and will put their power onto the road through the rear wheels only. No performance figures have been released yet, and I guess we'll jsut have to wait till the 29th to find out.
So, will this be exotic enough to make it onto ExoticSpotter? You decide, leave your comments below.
