In the world that we live in, pollution from cars is a big factor towards global warming. Auto makers have been working hard to make cars greener.
We now have cars such as the Ford Fusion Hybrid, Toyota Prius, and Chevy Volt. Can't we drive cars that aren't boring but are still doing our world a favor? That is what the Fisker Karma Ecosport and Tesla Roadster Sport are for.
Here we have the small but electrifying Tesla Roadster Sport. The Tesla is a mid-engine, RWD car, and is a quick car, getting from 0-60mph in just 3.7 seconds. It may be quick, but it is not a very powerful car. Just 288 Horses, but hey, its an electric car. Another problem is the price. A new Roadster Sport may cost you about $155,850. Motor Trend magazine said "The Tesla could be the world's swiftest utensil for carving traffic into puree." Plus- Its a convertible. Nothing better than the wind blowing through your hair.
The Fisker is a shockingly different car. It has four seats and for now does not have a convertible option. So what do these cars have in common? They're both electric. Yep, powered by electricity. They don't need gas, just plug 'em in when they are not in use. The Karma Ecosport has a 2.0 liter turbocharged DOHC 16 valve inline 4, and has 260hp. Its slow too, 0-60mph in 5.9 seconds. So it has less power, and is slower than the Tesla. The good news is it doesn't cost as much as the Roadster Sport, only about $111,000. When it comes to styling, you either love it or hate it. This is what Car and Driver had to say: "This car literally stops traffic."
So the choice is yours, Fisker Karma Ecosport or Tesla Roadster Sport? Which one would you rather drive?
