ColumbusSpotter, Not the OP but i’ll still answer for you cause of the notification.

Set camera exposure down to around 1/40th to 1/80th of a second depending on lighting and how fast the car is going and pivot your body to follow the car while taking the photo. The goal is to keep the car in the same spot of your viewfinder while it’s moving so it remains in focus while the background does not.
