Description Best spot of my life! Super rare Ferrari 250 GTO, and it's near my place! There are only 3 of these in Italy (this one in Padova, one at the Ferrari museum and another one that it's owned by Ferrarelle's family). The owner it's an old man and he worked as a mechanic for many years (even for Ferruccio Lamborghini). I was shocked when I saw this beauty (btw the garage it's quite small and the home too).
EDIT: According to FerrariChat this is a Replica of a 330 LMB based on a 250 GTL chassis. I saw this at a local Ferrari Meeting and it is totally wrong.
And it is an official race prototype made by Ferrari, there are only six like this in the world, unfurtunately this model doesn't appear in no one book or catalogue... So this is an official race prototype made by ferrari to look like a mix between the 250GTO and the 330 LMB.
This is a Ferrari 250 GT Lusso rebodied with the GTO's front and the 330 LMB sides and rear. I know this info because I talked to the owner at a local Ferrari show...
looks like a replica to me.. no big giveaways other than the fact that ive never seen or heard of a 250 GTO with round fog lamps, just square.. probably a ferrari but not a GTO
Many people forget (or don't know) that for a long long time, nobody gave a cr*p about the 250 GTO. For 15 years they could be bought for practically nothing. In 1978, they were just starting to go up in value, and probably could have been acquired for well under $100,000 at the time. The perceived values shot up in the 80s, going over a million in 1987, the skyrocketing to $15 million just a couple of years later. Yes they go for obscene amounts nowadays, but it wasn't always that way. As for this car, we'd have to have the serial to be sure, but it looks legit to me. I have seen one other 250 with those fog lights (look around for pics from the 250 reunion at Goodwood a few years ago), not sure if it was the same car or not. Cool spot, and good story. I like it!
Not a replica. The owner bought the car in 1978. when I saw the car I thought that It was a replica. this car was exposed in october at the annual "Fiera Motori Padova".
