That you so much for the little bit of history. The 2.0L V8s sound interest me a lot, we should have those now! I guess this is also where the 288 GTOs come from. Ferrari engineering is always a fascinating topic.
@ Jafo, the ancestor of the 328 was the in 1975 by Pinninfarina desinged 308 Gtb. In 1977 a Gts model was introduced. it had a 3.0L V8 carburettor engine and about 255bhp.There was also for the italian market an 208Gtb/Gts with a 2.0L v8 turbo engine and 220Bhp. The 308 stayed in the catalogue until 1985. In 1985 the 308 was replaced by the 328Gtb/Gts The bodywork stayed much the same, The major difference was for the front nose wich was less pointed, the rims and some other details like the addition of a rear roof/engine cover spoiler. The engines also changed from a 3.0l to a 3.2 v8 with 270Bhp. Production of the 328 ended in 1989 with about 7400 328's produced and was replaced by the 348. There is a whole lot more to tell about the 308/328 range but that would bring me to far, i hope with this you know a little more about the 328Gtb/Gts.
