South Africa is one of the most inequal societies in the world. I've been in one of the taxis, they're quite fun in a dangerous sort of way.

Wow. That sounds even worse than i thought it would be. Getting into a bus with someone who could decide to hold you hostage at gunpoint never sounds like a good idea. So is South Africa one of the countries that is really seperated between the different money classes?

we have the buses, those are safe and fine to go on, its called myciti buses, then u get these taxis that are basically hooligans on the road, they do what the want when, the police are scared of them cause alot of them carry weapons and guns and they basically have no morals, it sounds dangerous (what is is) ut if u leave them alone they leave u alone, most their cars arent even road worthly and they will fill a 13 passanger car with 20 plus ppl. i have seeeb some that have a spanner as a steering wheel. alot of them aare also gangsters, not ppl to mess with, then we have our private nice taxis that are metered, and then we have like uber and rikki taxies that are the safest and private and very cheap

So they're kinda like small stop-and-go buses for multiple people?

I hate city buses. One decided to leave without me a couple weeks ago even though i was standing at his door trying to get on.

ya we get the taxis like that, that are the devils of our road, stop were ever they want and do what they want, and then we have normal private meter taxis
