Old post, but had to comment. I have a slight suspicion that this is not in Australia. Notice a few things...
1) The road signs. They face drivers on the right hand side. In other words, it's a LHD country, not Australia where they are RHD.
2) The speedlimit sign is unquestionably North American.
3) Those could be clouds in the background, but they look like snow capped mountains. There are no rocky snow-capped mountains close to Sydney.
If I had to guess, this photo was taken somewhere in the Western United States. There are F40s in Sydney, but this is not one of them.
