@Mazdafreak Unfortunately the Pawleys Island guy sold the Schumacher car if you go to @elliotremingtonautostudio on Instagram you can see the car and part of his amazing garage. Hopefully, he will buy something to replace it.
Yes, both Black Series are still there. The guy with the orange and black Spyker C8 is the same guy with the yellow 918 I think he sold the Spyker. The guy on Pawleys also has a Michael Schumacher f1 car chassis number 211 which won Monaco in 2001 and he also has a 330 P3 replica. The guy on Kiawah with the P1 also has a black LaFerrari and a manual Lp640 roadster one of nine in the U.S on Kiawah too. He has more that he keeps up in Greenwich. Also on Kiawah, I've heard of two Enzos one yellow and one red, I have pics of the red one when it was at FCI a while back but nothing on the yellow one. Kiawah's a private island so there's really no way to get back and see what all is there unfortunately. My friend saw a matte black 918 a few months ago in the Charleston area so that is here too I would assume.
Wow, I had seen pics of the Pista Spider, but hadn't heard of the other ones! There's a guy in the Pawley's Island/Myrtle Beach area who has a red F12, red 458 Speciale Aperta, and red 488 Pista. Also someone on Kiawah with a silver P1. Hadn't heard of the Veyron before, might be the only one in the Carolinas (we used to supposedly have a Veyron about 30 mins southwest of Raleigh, but I believe it was sold). If I remember correctly, there used to be an orange and black Spyker C8 in the Greenville area, but it hasn't been seen in a long time. I know there was an SLS Black Series and SL65 Black Series in Greenville at one point as well, not sure if they're still there though.
SC has some pretty amazing stuff! There's a collection in Columbia that has 2 pistas a coupe and spyder the spyder in a pretty unique spec. He also has a bright green speciale aperta and a challenge straddle and a F12 TDF. But the highlight of his collection from what I know about is a F40. I also have heard about a Veyron on Kiawah and I am trying to find out more about it.
I remember those! My family went to GSO about ten years ago because I needed to be there for a musical event, and we went to FCI afterwards. I didn't know a lot about cars back then, but I remember freaking out when I saw the F40 parked next to the F50 parked next to the Enzo.
Amazing how many rare exotics have ties to SC. There's the red F40 south of Greenville (owners also have a 512BBi and a Daytona), and the yellow 918 Spyder which is in Charlotte periodically (owner also has a silver Carrera GT and some other Porsches). I'm sure there's even more that I've forgotten about.
Red one spends 90+ % of its time in NY now, but is registered to SC, along with an Enzo and F40. If you ever saw the trio at Foreign Cars Italia about 10 years ago, that's the one I'm referring to. I know the other yellow F50 you're talking about, sold that guy a car back in the day. PM me if you want, I'll see if I can find pictures in my old phones
Do you happen to have any info on the red one? The yellow one used to be owned by Ralph Lauren and is one of three factory yellow ones in the U.S and one of 31 factory yellow ones in the world. There used to be another yellow one in the state but that car is now in Los Angeles.
The black one registered in Columbia is owned by the CEO of WeatherTech David Macneil and he keeps the car in Chicago. But does take it to the state sometimes.
Did some digging, this is a different F50. There were originally only four black F50s, but I believe three others have since been painted (or wrapped) black. There are three black F50s currently in America; this one (west of Denver, CO), the wrecked one (now located south of San Jose, CA), and a third which is registered in the Columbia, SC area (of all places). The other black F50s I have found are outside of the U.S.; one is in the London area, one is in a private collection somewhere, and the other two are/were part of the Sultan of Brunei's collection.
Doug Tabbutt (owner of Switchcars, contributor to VINwiki) apparently tried to buy the wrecked one just before F50 values skyrocketed, but was unsuccessful.
