Description This awesome Ford GT was in a Ferrari show (not sure why). After the show was over we sat down and ate dinner and walked out to the same Ford GT driving around town after dinner (this was about a hour and a half after the show ended).
I think Ford did a nice job with it, the design is very interesting and looks very appealing. That being said I think that it will look better in black, red and maybe yellow. The silver and blue aren't doing it for me.
Now that the new GT has been out for about a month, what do you think of it? I think it's ugly in blue, but the new silver one revealed in Chicago looks fine to me.
In the description you said it was in a Ferrari show and you didn't know why, and hopefully this will answer your question.
You see, in the 60s, Ferrari and the Ford GT40 were in a fierce LeMans rivalry, and Ford won most of the races. This made Ferrari upset, which prompted Ford to build some road legal GT40s to embarrass Ferrari on the streets. Then, Ford decided to build a successor to that (the GT) in 2003 to embarrass Ferrari once again in LeMans. They won most of the races with the new one too, so I think the reason it was at the show is anyone who liked Ferrari knew that Ford was not resting on their laurels. Plus there is a new GT coming out next year at Detroit in January...
Yea I completly forgot about it until the day that it was on. I'm planning on going next year too. I heard that a year in the past there was a FXX, F40, F50, and Enzo all lined up!
I was at Stony Brook that day, just a few minutes drive from this event, not knowing it was happening and then I heard about it from you guys a few days later. Ugh!
