1961 MG MGA

So today my uncle, his friend and I went to pick up a 1961 MG MGA for his friend. Here it is, it cost about $1500, its all original, 1 owner. It doesn't start, but the engine turns over, no brakes, needs a lot of work. It will be restored but do you think it was worth it?
