A pretty good replica- if it was real, the owner wouldn't have aftermarket parts on it.

ex. The gear shifter.

There are a few easy ways to tell if a Cobra is real or not:

1. Real Cobra's body work is made of steel, not fiberglass. So the texture is going to be uneven in some parts because the steel was "beaten" into shape back then. If a Cobra's body work is smooth and looks perfect, then it's a fake.

2. No real Cobra's ever had shiny or chromed exhaust pipes.

3. A real Cobra's speedometer runs counter-clockwise (not like today's cars which run clockwise).

4. The pedals of a real Cobra hang from below the steering wheel area. Fake Cobra's will have pedals coming up from the floor or the engine's firewall.

That's what I remember off the top of my head. There are more ways to tell them apart.

The speedo on this one is counter clockwise.

Lol these comments are funny to read and completely inaccurate. Is it real? It depends who you ask. No it wasn't built in the '60s but it was built by Carroll Shelby. Carroll Shelby started making his own replicas and called them real so the owner of this would probably tell you it is real if asked but it isn't. There are no obvious aftermarket parts on it, the shifter is correct, Cobra bodies were not made of steel but aluminum, the exhaust is not chrome plated, some cobras did come with polished side pipes, many real cobras do have a counterclockwise speedometer, the aluminum bodywork was very well done and perfectly smooth, and real Cobras do have floor mounted pedals. This is a nice replica Cobra.

Thank you Andrewo, I was about to say something like that.
