I'd take the Spyker C8 for the reason being that it is prettier, built with more of a craftsmanship quality to it, and cheaper.

I can't speak to the overall reliability of the 458. However, I have heard that the fire issue has been resolved a while ago.

That's the joke. They actually had to RECALL the 458 Italia when Spyker C8s don't have any, so you know they are built well

There are tons of cars that get recalled, millions of them every single year in fact. The matter as to why they are recalled varies massively between cars, but if a car has a recall, it often isn't the biggest deal in the world.

A brand new Spyker C8 can be had for less than $220,000. A brand new 458 can be had for a minimum of $230,000. So it is in "too expensive". It may be slower, you are right in that point. The Spyker makes up for it with the one of a kind craftsmanship though.
