But I agree, this is literally the same car with more power. I was really hoping for something amazing. Thanks Fiat

Why were you expecting anything more than a facelifted 458, when it has been known for ages that the 458 replacement is going to be a facelifted and turbo'd 458?

They surprised us with a hybrid hypercar so they can surely surprise us with something better than a 458

It wasn't a surprise, it was known back in 2012 that the Enzo successor is going to be a hybrid.

308 GTB, 328 GTB, 348 GTB are all V8's.

The replacement for the 360 was the F430, and that looked really different.

I like it much better in yellow.

Well the F430 was a heavily facelifted 360 Modena, so in that sense Ferrari is keeping the "tradition" going. And IMO the changes weren't really that radical:

New bumper, new headlights, bigger air vents and some more sharp corners. And really, thats pretty much what Ferrari did with the 488 too:

I like it, kind of like the Huracan, I much prefer the rear.
It's also sad that Hotwheels and Hotwheels Elite won't be able to make any model versions of it since their Ferrari license expired :(

I feel like GTB should be reserved for the V12 GT cars like the 599.

The GTB has never been solely for V12 cars in Ferrari's nomenclature.

308 GTB, 328 GTB, 348 GTB are all V8's.

Oops I forgot about those. Lol

It's really strange to think that the entry-level V8 Ferrari now has 670hp, same as the 599 GTO... And the performance version of this is likely going to have a bit over 700hp.

Yeah, but it's a whole different thing. Sort of like an extra in the Ferrari lineup. I think the 488's price is going to be similar to the 458 when it was released.

I like the 488 a lot. It is a huge improvement over the 458 in terms of styling.

I think it looks stunning. It combines a bit of LaFerrari with the 458 Speciale, both of which are very beautiful cars. This is only the fourth turbo Ferrari ever.

Given Ferrari's naming using engine displacement and number of cylinders, shouldn't the 488 GTB be called the 398 GTB because it is a 3.9 litre turbo charged V8?
