The Veyron is a car to respect. It was introduced in 2005 and became a game changer. Yes at the moment the Huayra is "The car" (we know nothing about the new Ferrari though) but the special editions of the Veyron are amazing. On top of all, Bugatti sold a lot of those million dollar cars which shows not only they can produce the fastest cars (this is a fact) but they also can sell them rather well. That is why i really like Bugatti and respect the company. The Veyron successor will be amazing, i am sure.

It costs Bugatti around $5 million to make a Veyron and the sell them for around $2.7 million. Do the math, that's not a smart company.

That's exactly how the Maybach went belly up.

That's because VW really could care less if they lose some money on it. They did not make the Veyron to make a profit and expected to lose money from the beginning. It is smart business because of the good publicity it has given VW.

This. For example, Volkswagen made a profit of $28.6 billion in 2012 alone, thats 28 000 MILLION, they dont really give a f*ck if it costs them a few millions here and there if the result is the bragging rights of the Veyron being worlds fastest production car and overall the most high profile hyper car in the market.

The fact is that they Veyron is and always will be a legend. In 50 years I guarantee you they will be displayed with pride on the lawn of Pebble Beach. The Veyron really set the standards for all super cars of the 21st Century and every hyper car built since has been affected by it in some way. It is too bad that some of the rapper types have taken a liking to it but that doesn't stop it from being the best super car currently built. The haters need to watch this entire video.

I agree it will be displayed in car shows forever and that is an awesome video but how is it bad that rappers have started to buy them? I think it actually helped Bugatti because once they all realized how awesome the Veyrons are, they started making music videos with them and songs about them. This increased Bugattis popularity even more and now, in areas like mine, bugatti has become more known around the high school age kids than Ferrari. If you wear something with the Ferrari or Lamborghini emblem at my school people ask what it is and what it means. If you wear something with the Bugatti emblem, people relate it to their favorite songs and instantly know. They've helped the non-car enthusiasts get slightlymore into cars. There's many songs with Veyrons in them. There's, Fire Flame, I Woke Up in A New Bugatti, Bugatti Boyz, Bugatti Music, and almost all the new songs by Rick Ross, Birdman, and T-Pain.

the Bugatti is dumb the venom gt is the best car. you think you know the Hennessey Venom GT? Plenty of people do, apparently. At least that’s the impression you get if you delve through forum posts or YouTube comments on the subject. Sift through the piles of cyber detritus and the collective ‘expert’ sentiment is that it’s little more than a stretched Lotus Exige with a big Yank V8; a bastardised engine that excels in a straight line, but sucks around corners. Isn’t it amazing what you can learn from playing Forza Motorsport before your mum sends you to bed? Call me old-fashioned, butyou should actually drive a car before expressing an opinion. Frustratingly that’s always been a problem with the Venom GT, for while Europe’s pre-eminent hypercar makers Bugatti, Pagani, and Koenigsegg are but a short-haul flight away, there are currently only eight Venom GTs in existence. (these aren't my exact words, but its exactly what I think.) the Venom GT is awesome. That thing scrambles Koenigseggs for breakfast, eats Veyrons for lunch and flosses with Pagani Huayras.

And I guess you would know because you have driven one? I'm not sure where you are coming up with these "expert" opinions.

I would make my bathtub go 300 mph if I gave it enough power. That doesn't mean it is a good car.

The Veyron is a fantastic piece of technology, granted. It costs millions for each one to be built, it's got an 8 liter W16, and the SS has 1,443 horses. It has most things a supercar should have: insane looks, an eye watering price tag, a huge top speed, and alot of publicity. My problem with it is that it tries to hard to just get an insane top speed. If the car was better on the track, then it would be more of a supercar than a 'hyper grand tourer'.

How fast do you think the average Veyron driver will go? 90%+ of Hypercars sold are for showing off, car shows, looking good in a garage, but mainly status symbols. The most "grand touring" these do is being driven to the airport to be shifted from London to Paris to Monaco and back to the Middle East.

I have seen the Veyron in my town going over 100 mph twice. Once in a 45 mph zone and once in a 35 mph zone.
