The ones where, for example, say, Boom Bot against Annoy-oTron, we'll do a lot of testing. The majority of people on our team are playing. I believe that reaching the point of equilibrium that both decks feel powerful and both decks feel as if they're in a position to win is the result of playing.

Sometimes, when people ask me about balance design specifically many people are inclined to believe there's some sort of data and models that can be used to say, "Hey, we created these five cards, then ran them through the simulator and everything is balanced." There's a wealth of information and we're constantly reviewing the data we need to get some kind of understanding from, but that's not the data that makes the decision. Most of the time, it's simply based on feeling, or what feels right, particularly in the case of Tavern Brawl. It's all about asking "What's the most enjoyable experience?" We'll then do some tuning following the event.

One rule I'm not sure I've ever seen within Tavern Brawl deals with the amount of cards that you have in your collection. Do you think that increasing the number of starter cards something you've ever considered? Or is 30 the ideal amount of cards to play WoW Cataclysm Classic?
