Some cars I think are overrated are the M3 and the Camaro. It's not that I don't appreciate their performance or their looks; they can be very respectable cars. It's just that people will not shut the f*ck up about them. In a facebook group for car spotting in my area, there are always a bunch of dudes talking about M3's as if no other car exists in the world. Just today I saw someone post an Alfa 4C that they found somewhere - one of the first 4C's ever spotted in my area - and when I look at the comments, from the 3rd comment on, everyone's just talking about M3's. And I don't know what got everyone into Camaros (maybe Transformers?), but I'm sure there are a bunch of semi-car guys under 21 who, if given a choice between a Shelby GT500, a Hellcat, and a base model Camaro, would choose the Camaro, just because it's a Camaro. People can get this way about other cars like the GT-R and the C 63 AMG, but I see it the most in the M3 and, although not as often as before, the Camaro. I get that they're great examples of automotive engineering, can be great fun to drive, and are rather stylish, but seriously, folks. There are other cars in the world.
