A poll was made earlier this year and it was decided that the new Porsche Macan is neither exotic nor exciting to anyone. For the past weeks before its unveiling, I have been glued to Porsche's website waiting and waiting for an unveiled price. Today, Porsche unveiled their car in LA with a staggering price of $50k for the Sport model. The standard model has strangely not been unveiled. This car is the price of a standard Cayenne. Porsche claims the Cayenne is the superior model still, but if that is so, why is this price so close? The Macan is available with the V6 only. The turbo model is a V6 turbo producing 400HP. Impressive maybe, but not substantial yet. And why does this car look so much like the Audi Q3 or 4 or 5 or whatever it is? Are they the same(ish)? So, I guess we just have to wait to hear what Top Gear, Motorweek, and the others think of the car. Maybe I'm wrong about the car. Maybe it is something special...
I expected numbers like these but with a MUCH lower price tag.
