Viper has raw power and looks great. But that's about all it has going for it.

The Corvette is a much more well-rounded vehicle. More reliable, looks good, fast, more affordable, more comfortable interior, cheaper maintenance, more production volume means it's easier to obtain one.

How can you tell if its more reliable? They just started selling them lol no car is going to be unreliable when you drive it off the lot. My parents both own Chevys. The LAST word I'd use to describe the brand is reliable.

That said, Viper.

If you don't believe me that a Chevy is more reliable than a Dodge, read this (Dodge didn't even make it to the Top 10):

2012 Auto Maker reliability ratings

If you still need further convincing that the Corvette is an overall better car, read this:

2014 Stingray vs SRT Viper comparison

But anyways, there are exceptions to every rule and not all cars are built the same. Your point is well taken. I'd still take a C7 Stingray though.

In regards to the first article, the viper isn't manufactured by Dodge anymore, it's the SRT Viper. SRT is a division of Chrysler which is 10th on the list. So it really isn't too far behind Chevy (GM).

Second article makes a good point, the Viper is definitely more comparable with future versions of the C7. If they make a C7 ZR1, it'd probably be a REALLY close call for me between the two.
