My only thought is that since everyone was so let down when the show was rescheduled, he didn't want to build people up like that again. Everyone was so disappointed and I bet he just doesn't want that to happen again. At least this keeps people interested and intrigued, which is good for him since less than a month ago everyone was devastated.
