Hey,

Maserati is just about to release the 2014 Ghibli. It is going to be more of a volume car (something to compete with the BMW 5-Series, Audi A6, Mercedes E-Class, etc) and won't be a true exotic (although personally I don't see sales higher than A6 annual sales).

Are shots of the new Ghibli just going to be deleted? Or is the site going to be flooded with them?

For $65k this car is going to be absolutely flying off the shelves. Everyone who didn't want to dish out $120k to be seen in one of the classiest brand named vehicles around is going to be lining up. Panamera type sales if Maserati actually produces the (rumored) 20k units a year. Unfortunately, it may become cumbersome to tell apart every Ghibli from every Quattroporte. All that being said, honestly I have no idea what should be done. Maserati dun stumped me on this one.

Also, I would definitely want to still see the old Ghiblis on the site. I'm just not sure how we would make the old ones legal and the new ones uncategorized.

I think we should be able to post the new Ghibli if we choose to do so and the people who call them non-exotic dont have to click them if they dont want to. In my opinion, a Maserati is exotic nomatter what kind it is (a few exceptions; Maserati TC and Biturbo).

Good question. Personally I don't think people should post them just to avoid confusion and a bunch of people getting frustrated. Right now they are kind of rare but they really don't look that special and soon they will be very common. I've seen a few and to me they didn't look special at all on the road.

I don't think they should really be posted from here on out. I've heard that they have been a pretty good sales success already, and they haven't even begun deliveries yet. I have a feeling this will be like the F-Type, except the bid for it being exotic will be harder to justify.

30-50,000 per year which is more than the F Type is able to produce, and will account for about 80% of Maserati sales if they can sell that many.

At under £50K puts it in Jag XF / BMW 535 / CLS territory of sales and price, if this is Exotic then the F Type should be also.

Don't..... I agree F Type is exotic well at least the V8S for sure, but it seems to cause massive rage on here when it's mentioned (or how a plain Jane 911 is Exotic), and of course all the images get removed.
