Sportscar manufacturers are increasingly often building fat and ugly SUVs. It all started when in the early 2000s Porsche came out with the revolutionary Cayenne which would change SUVs for ever. The original Cayenne was an amazing car but that has had a disastrous effect on the car world. I'll run you through some sportscar manufacturers SUVs and tell why they shouldn't have been made.
Lamborghini Urus: Lamborghini's symbol is the fighting bull and there Huracán and Aventador models all live up to that expectation of being purely aggressive. The Urus is a fat cow with an Audi engine at its heart very much the shape of an RSQ8. The reason they built was for a financial win which they did succeed in.

Ferrari Purosangue: a hopeless attempt to try and rival Lamborghinis financial gains from the Urus. Although Ferrari has built some family cars previously, the FF and the GTC4 Lusso, they never have left their supercar attitude like the Purosangue has.

Lotus Eletre: quite simply brakes every Colin Chapman policy! His cars where to be light, with a small engine and little power but also a little body to make them great for track use but not for straight line speed. The Eletre is a massively heavy (due to the large battery and big bulk) and has no track use but in straight line pace it is incredibly fast due to its 900hp battery. Not a lotus in my mind!

Do you agree that supersuvs made by supercar companies are only cash profit cars or do you like them? Let's hope McLaren never falls into the same trap as Ferrari and Lamborghini
