Remember the 'FerrariLaferrari'? When I first heard that name I thought 'what a Terrible name' and I'm sure most of everyone else thought that too. But there were cars before the LaFerrari that had shocking names, too. For instance, the 'Volkwagen Thing' and the 'Ford Probe'.

However, every once in a while there is a care that makes you think, 'what an awesome car name!'. Like for me, i thought that when i heard the name 'dodge Viper'.What I want to know is, what are the Best or worst car names ever?

I think the Hammerhead Eagle-i Thrust has to qualify for both of those.

If i'm honest, a lot of German cars have very unimaginative names, such as A3, Q7, 535i, E500, ML320, 328i. A mixture of numbers and letters, very unimaginative.

If it came to best car names though, i would think of the states as making some of the best, including the Viper, Copperhead (Dodge concept), Corvette, SVT Raptor/Velociraptor, Superbird, Charger, Challenger, Barricuda and so on.

For worst names, i'd head to Japan. Mitsubishi Mum 500/Lettuce, Daihatsu Naked, Daihatsu Super Carry, Nissan Gloria/Silvia/Cedric etc, Honda Life Dunk, Mazda Scrum Wagon and the Nissan Homy Super Long. Ok, a lot of what i said are Kei cars, and some may be kinda classed more as Vans, but...yeah. The Gumpert Apollo doesn't sound frightening like a Supercar either does it?

Haha 'gumpert Apollo' now that I think about it that isn't that frightening. And now that I think about it, why isn't there a car called the Tyrannasauraus (spelling may be off) or the Alligator/crocodile?

and I was also thinking about those German names, and what kind of amazing effort went into the name 'M5'?? Sme of those Japanese names sound like bad translations.

I like Zonda, Countach, Diablo, Murcielago, and Veyron as car names. LaFerrari has to be the worst.

Maserati Quatroporte is a good name, but translate that to English and you get the Maserati fourdoor. I think we an all agree that it sounds better In Italian.
