Picture this: You just picked up a decent Mondial for about 25k, and you consider using it as your daily driver. What I'm asking is, would a Mondial cater to YOUR needs as an individual?

Well my individual needs include a car that functions on a regular basis, so no.

Yes, it would actually. My dad owned a Mondial T for 9 years, so I'm a little biased though... $25 is a little cheap for a Mondial T, and I'd pass on a 3.2, quattrovalve, or 8... Not interested if it wasn't a T.

Absolutely not. It looks like sh*t (sorry smb127 lol), and plus it's an older Ferrari, which are definitely famed for their reliability. If I was to even consider using a Ferrari like that daily, or period, I'd never pick one up for that little money again, or at least at the bottom end of the price scale. We made that mistake once with the 348 and ended up an unreliable car that we don't trust driving more than 90 minutes. The cheapest exotic is always the most expensive.

What I don't understand is why people pick on the Mondial and yet they forget the truly ugly Ferraris like the 208/308GT4 and 400/412. Sure, the Mondial 8's godforsaken plastic bumpers were awful, but it was the 80's and they had to cut corners somewhere to make the 8 and QV cheap enough. The Mondial makes great power (at least the T does), and the body-color bumpers and lowered ride height makes for a proper 80's look. With the right wheels, the car is really good looking.

There are plenty of things that go wrong with these cars, but we had good luck with ours. It went to a good home too and is still driven daily by the new owner in Florida. Sometimes, even the ugliest animals at the pound get adopted...

Looks are subjective but a well maintained Mondial is not an unreliable car. It wouldn't work for me because even though the car may cost $25,000, paying a Ferrari mechanic $100 an hour to work on the car would get old very fast. The Ts need to have the engine removed to change the belts too. I used to hate the 365 GT4/400/412s but I don't mind them now if they are in the right spec. The 365 GT4 is actually a very fast car and weighs 700 less than the later and identical looking models.

I figured I'd get responses like this haha. But I just figured I'd ask because I was watching the show Car Chasers and on it the guy picked up a Ferrari Mondial and a Testarossa as Salvage titles for 65,000$. He fixed them up (I'm assuming, I was asleep for the first half of the episode) and resold the pair for 75,000$.

I personally like the Mondial. I don't think its ugly. It'd definitely be something id add to my collection if I ever won the lottery :P

I really like the Mondial. I've only seen 2 so far, and one is my uncle's. I don't think they are ugly, Ferrari has made some much uglier cars. I'm not sure if I would actually by one of I had the money, since I could probably get a Quattroporte for that money, which also has a V8 and is more practical.

Literally the only good thing about this car is the badge. You would have to pay me to buy one.

It was meant to be affordable and practical. Not my idea of a true Ferrari.
