Oh jesus, this has just turned into a usual ES argument fest where everyone claims to know everything.

So here's my 2 cents...
Yeah, $25k is cheap compared to other Ferraris. Yes, they do require a labor intensive engine-out (every 30k miles). No, they were not meant to be cheap and affordable compared to other Ferraris, but they were made for the American market and for crash standards they were made unappealing (to today's standards) and cheap. And to put it in perspective of the opportunists, would you truly rather say "I'm in the (insert poser car here) over there" than "Yes, thats my Ferrari"??? Doubt it...

I submitted the Mondial info page to the admin for the site. Here's some straight facts on the car: Mondial Info

This is the first true argument in years lol, dont jinx it. At least people on here are talking again

I would certainly take one. Not my first choice, but my god ease up on the car. It's not satanic.

How do you know it's not though? It could be possessed or something.

cotd

i bet that there are tons of kids who run out and buy a mondial 8 when they have $20,000 in their pocket, but i don't even want to know how that scenario ends up

Literally the only good thing about this car is the badge. You would have to pay me to buy one.

Speaking from experience?

I have eyes.

I truly find comments like these funny. I've owned my 1987 Mondial for years and EVERY SINGLE PERSON who has ever seen it remarks on how beautiful it is.

For the price, the Mondial performance and maintenance costs make this is a great daily driver for someone who doesn't want to spend big dollar but have a fun car to drive. With the right rims and proper care (oil changes, spark plugs, tune-ups) this car is bullet proof and is a 328 with room for luggage.

As for "paying someone to drive a Mondial" .... don't worry. No one will.

Considering it was one of the cars i was looking at for a first car, i wouldn't mind owning one. But then i did some research and found out how much it would cost to keep it running/legal each year.

If you buy one... Have a backup car.

The car is well known for electrical issues, if you have a friend who likes to wire new stuff then by all means go for it!
