SO SAD. To make matters worse, the car that was wrecked was a red Porsche Carrera GT with black wheels. RIP Paul Walker. You were one of the few true car guys in Hollywood. You will be missed.

Maybe I'm wrong but I think this may have been the car he was killed in. Photo link here . Red is not a common color for that car and that is the only red one I have seen in the area. I saw that a few years ago and it was recently bought by a new owner so maybe they painted the wheels black.

Paul Walker was a great dude, and I love the movies. Its tragic. Yes.

What makes it worse for me is that Paul was a passenger.

These cars are not for everyone. A Porsche CGT like this one (modified) can not just be flogged around town by just anyone. So sad. Its not a bad car to speed in. Its just not a good car to hit a pole with at high speed. No car is!

Its not speed that kills. Its stopping quickly...

Dunn and Walker's cars hit an obstacle. These tragic deaths serve as warnings for us. We, car guys (at least we think we are) love speed. We like fast cars. We like flashy moves like burnouts. We need to be careful. I've seen wrecks both on and off track. Not everyone makes it out alive. Let us remember Paul for who he was and let us think before doing. Paul was just an innocent passenger at a Charity event. This could have been anyone. Anyone. This happens everyday to people. We have Wrecked Exotics for that!

Im not saying dont have fun behind the wheel. Just saying I miss these two great guys because their deaths were avoidable. :(

Tell me I'm not the only one...?

I agree, I was just saying that people shouldn't speed in a porsche!

Sure. Thats fine. But you go ahead and speed in a Porsche or a Ferrari or a GTR or whatever. Just dont spin the wheels in town INTO A POLE. No one said it was speeding. It was loss of control "likely caused" by speeding around a bend. The "bend" is the key.

Truthfully, I was watching the original Fast and Furious movie on Bravo when I opened my laptop to see the braking news on Yahoo. I've had a knot in my stomach since. So sad, striking....

Sad news indeed. You know, this tragedy has striking similarities to James Dean.

Both were hugely popular at the time of their death. Both were huge car guys. Both died in a Porsche.

R.I.P. Mr. Walker.

James Dean was not speeding. A dude in a Ford cut him off. There are several documentaries you can find on YouTube proving that he was not speeding.

This completely ruined my night, f*ck. This guy was one of the reasons I got into cars. Apparently this is the last photo of Paul:
