I recently had an interesting project where I needed stainless steel sheets with a durable, scratch-resistant coating. It was for a custom furniture piece and some decorative wall panels for a high-traffic space in a commercial building. Let me explain why this turned out to be the perfect choice for my needs. The challenge was clear: I needed a material that not only looked sleek and modern but could also withstand heavy daily use without showing wear. Regular stainless steel, while great for many applications, is prone to scratches and can lose its luster over time, especially in spaces where people constantly touch the surface. This made it an excellent option for areas where durability is critical, like elevator panels or tabletops. Plus, the coating is incredibly versatile. It can be applied to a variety of finishes, including matte, brushed, embossed, or even vibrated, and comes in a range of PVD colors. For this project, I went with a brushed finish in a titanium grey shade, which complemented the interior design beautifully.
