-is carmel in monterey?
-where are good streets?
-in those streets about how many exotics per minute would i see?
-is seeing a veyron almost gaurenteed if i spend a week there?
-is there any bad areas there? since my moms friend lives in monterey, i dont want to have to drive like 25 minutes to get to a good area
if i think of more ill add them

Carmel is a small town a bit south of Monterey.
Good streets are Ocean Ave in Carmel and 17 Mile Dr in Pebble Beach.
On Ocean Avenue you'll probably see on average 1 or 2 exotics per minute, and also some parked ones probably.
You will most likely see a Veyron. I was there for two days and I saw one on each.
Not sure what you mean by the last question. If you mean high crime then not at all. If you mean for spotting, then just stay by thecoast or by Carmel Valley and you'll see plenty.

I spent most of my time on Ocean Avenue, so there's probably more info that other spotters can give you.

During Car Week, I traveled and was in the car a lot.

We arrived at around 1 PM, went into Pebble Beach, parked near Gooding auction, checked out the stands they had, took pics of a couple exotics going through near the area. Checked out The Lodge and Casa Palmero Hotel. Then we went to Spanish Bay Inn, checked out the cars there, saw 3 veyrons there. And then went to Carmel (Ocean Ave is the street) at around 5 or 6 to see all the cars passing by.

That was all on Saturday so you can visit a lot of places in one day. And basically you see an exotic every minute or so.

Most of your questions can be answered by looking through photos from car week and by reading about all the events in magazines and online. I spent the year leading up to the first time I went becoming an expert on car week by reading everything about it and about all the events before I went.

speaking of the events, are the events really that big of a deal that its worth getting a $250 ticket like the one for pebble beach concours? because im already sacrificing my christmas and birthday presents just for the plane ticket to go there, and i don't think my dad would be too thrilled about spending that much more so i want to know if its worth it

For me there is no point to going if you don't go to the events but maybe your priorities are different. I personally would never go somewhere far away just to look at cars driving around but I guess some people here would.

I think it was a bit of luck. The blue and orange vitesse was test driving near there in the evening. I saw the ALKON veyron while I was leaving and I was very lucky.

i also sat in the XKRS GT and it was pretty cool. There were much more cars that you could sit in but I didn't feel like it at the time.

To be honest I really don't care much for spending more money for the shows. I won't be buying tickets next year because you only see cars stationary. The coolest thing is seeing concept cars and other high price cars that they may not drive at any time during the week. Something to try is waiting outside the shows while they clean up after its done and you may even see some cars (like the veneno this year) drive away or into its transporters. Either way you are guaranteed the best spotting in America.

I'm kind of in a tight spot for next year. I only got to go 1 1/2 days this year, and I was hoping to stay for at least a couple more days next year, but my parents will be busy with work. I will most likely be able to drive down by myself next year, but I don't think I'm allowed to stay in a hotel alone. Maybe I'll just sleep in the car lol.
