So I decided to make a guide for carspotting in DC to help fellow DC spotters and because I was bored. To start this guide I’m gonna list some cars which are almost always too sometimes at these exact locations:

There is almost always a black Bentley Flying Spur parked outside the “Permanent Mission of Mexico to The Orginization of American States building in Embassy Row.

There is sometimes a Matte Black G class 4x4 outside Chaplin’s restaurant(I haven’t seen it there recently though).

There is occasionally a street parked black Aston Martin convertible on Q street around 1519 Q street NW.

In roughly the same location except on R street NW as the Aston you have a chance of seeing a gray street parked Urus.

Not sure if this counts as the location isn’t that public and not sure if you can get in without authorization but there is a light gray Austin Heeley in the CityCenter resident parking.

There is a black Aston Martin Vantage that is usually parked in the parking lot of Stratford University which is across the street from the Westin in Tysons Corner.

There is usually a dark blue Ferrari California T in the giant parking garage under the Giant grocery store in Chevy Chase.

Not sure if this one counts either, but there is a Local Motors Hyperion GT concept car and maybe a 1/1 Local Motors LM3D Swim Concept that is always on display outside the Local Motors headquarters in National Harbor.

There is also a vintage Porsche collection in Arlington! It is on top of the garage at Avalon Clarendon near the Apple store. There is also a Tesla Supercharger in the garage. On the top floor of the garage there is an 80s 911 Turbo, an 80s 911 Speedster(sadly this one is under a car cover) and a bunch of other vintage Porsches!

If you know any other cars in the DC area that are usually parked in a specific location feel free to comment.

I will make a follow up soon about the best locations for seeing exotics in DC.

There’s a matte black LP580 Huracán and a Phantom Drophead in the CityCenter parking garage too. There’s also a Speciale Aperta and an F12 TDF in a garage somewhere in Georgetown (don’t know which one).

Ok there is this massive looking underground garage I always pass by when going to the Georgetown Waterfront Park. I will be going to Georgetown this weekend and will get back to you on the result. As for the Huracon and Phantom Drophead I usually go to the CityCenter garage and never saw either of those cars. The closest thing I ever seen to one of those cars there is a regular black Huracon Spider outside the garage in the valet. I also saw a Ghost and another time a Wraith in that garage too but I only saw both of those cars there once.

The Huracán and Phantom Drophead were deep in the residential garage, I think I went to the first floor and took an elevator above where the residential garage was which let me in. There was also an M4, F-Type, and a few Continentals. I’ve got pictures on my page if you’re curious.

My parents actually park their matte black Tesla P100D on P3 in the Residential garage. When I go down there the garaged is sectioned by barriers and some parts you can’t get too without a keycard. Were there any barriers when you were there and if so which section were you in? Was in the middle section because that’s Where my parents park their car and the only part were allowed in. The section on the left is more resident parking while the section on the right is the office parking. P3 and P4 are the resident and office parking levels. You can still see through the barrier and the only interesting car I saw has an Austin Heeley(Which I have a picture of on my page). There is also a car with a cover on it on P3 in the resident parking behind the barrier. It looks like some kind of sports car. There was also a matte black Chevy pickup lowrider in the part my parents park in.

Best locations for spotting in DC and its surrounding area:

1. Georgetown. One of the best spotting locations in DC and the area around it! In Georgetown you will see some Bentleys on M street and other nice cars. If you go to Georgetown, make sure to check the Four Seasons hotel and Washington Harbor Condos. You are almost guaranteed too see some Supercars outside those places. I also heard there is a parking garage in Georgetown with an F12 TDF and 458 Speciale Aperta but I don’t know what garage it is. If I can find it I will post it’s location here. Also a bunch of 5 star hotels are in the Georgetown area, but the best one in my opinion is the Four Seasons.

2. Embassy Row. Another great location for spotting. There are a lot of exotics in Embassy Row and some cars that aren’t even available in the USA! Most of them are owned by diplomats(especially ones from the UAE but I saw a Ghost with Congo diplomatic plates once). One time I even saw a matte red 812 Novitec N-Largo in the Embassy Row area, but I sadly couldn’t get a picture.

3. Tysons Corner. Great location outside of DC! This is where all the high end malls are. The Tysons Corner mall sometimes has some nice cars in its garages, but the best place for spotting in Tysons Corner is Tysons Galleria. Tysons Galleria almost always has a bunch of exotics in its garage. Also don’t forget to check the Hyatt Regency(which is connected to Tysons Corner Mall) and the Ritz Carlton(which is connected to Tysons Galleria).

4. Chevy Chase. This location which is half in DC and half in Maryland is where all the high end department stores and doctors offices are. You can find exotics parked on Wisconsin avenue and parked in the giant underground car park under Giant. There is a Ferrari California T which is almost always in that garage.

5. Potomac. I don’t have much experience with this area, but I do see a lot of uploads from there. If anyone can comment the best locations in Potomac it would be very much appreciated.

6. The Wharf. Don’t have much experience here either, but the Mandarin Oriental is near it which is another great hotel for spotting. There are a lot of restaurants in the Wharf and there is a huge Supercars lineup in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a4wb2fFMorY

7. The area around the White House. This is where the Trump hotel and Willard Intercontinental are. Both good locations for spotting. You may even see Trumps limo lol.

8. K street. The Main Street in DC. This is where all the restaurants are and on a Friday or Saturday night you can see a good supercar lineup outside a fancy restaurant.

9. Lafayette Square. This is where a bunch of 5 star hotels are including the Hay Adams, St. Regis and the Jefferson. One time I saw a Bentayga from Qatar at the St. Regis and a 720s at the Jefferson.

10. CityCenter. CityCenter and the surrounding area are also pretty good. You can sometimes see some Supercars outside CityCenter or the Conrad hotel and I recently saw a Taycan Turbo S driving around the area. You can try your luck getting into the CityCenter resident parking. There is an Austin Heeley 3000 down there and even my parents matte black Tesla P100D.

Honorable mentions:

1. I heard that the parking garage at the Capital One arena is good for spotting and I once saw a satin blue 458 entering its garage, but it’s closed now.

2. National Harbor. The MGM National Harbor MAY be a good location for spotting due to it being a 5 star casino resort. There is also a Hyperion GT concept car that is always in display outside the Local Motors headquarters.

Yep, they were in a fenced off area but I found an elevator on a different floor that took me into it.

Ok so I went to Georgetown. I saw a Flying Spur and Maybach. I tried to find the garage with the F12TDF but there were so many garages lined up it was impossible to check all of them. If only someone knows which garage exactly has the TDF and 458 Speciale aperta.

The TDF is parked next to a spot with a sign that says reserved for Capital Asset Management Group employees if that helps. My guess is it’s in the Flour Mill Office Building parking garage.

Also is this the F12TDF you were talking about? http://www.exoticspotter.com/ferrari-f12-georgetown-dc-virginia-260099

There were a lot of TDFs spotted in the DC area. A light blue one in Sterling which also always shows up and is on display during the DC auto show. There was also a gray one spotted in Leesburg. This also makes me wonder if that matte red 812 N largo I randomly saw on my way to school and that I really wish I got a picture of was owned by this guy because he seems to be a big Ferrari collector. I really suprised me that an N largo would be owned in DC considering they’re one of 18.

Ok I went to the Flour Mill Office Building garage and I found out that the Ferrari owner moved his cars. The garage was locked down but I managed to get in when someone came out. I went in and looked around and the Ferraris were no where to be found. I went up and saw a black S63 AMG but that was about it. I then ran into the same guy I saw coming out. He told me that the guy with the Ferraris left, he thinks he went to another garage. Apparently the guy I ran into owns an Aston Martin DB9 and he recently stopped parking it there because his car got vandalized and the vandal came in the same way I did. Ever since then the garage improved its security but not by that much. I wonder where the Ferrari owner parks his cars now. We may never know.

Damn, sorry you didn’t get to see them. I talked to a spotter from down there and he said that the Ferraris were still parked there in July so he must’ve moved them pretty recently.
