I went to an event in the Poconos that consisted of a Concorso d'Eleganza on Saturday morning, but a bunch of the cars arrived Friday and stayed overnight at the nearby hotel. Would that classify as a legal spotting or not? In reality it's not anything organized like a meet or show and doesn't seem any different than the Hilton in Monterey (where Lamborghini Owners Club stays), but admittedly I knew that a lot of owners were probably going to be there.

Legal. That's almost like saying the Delamar Hotel is illegal

As long as it isn't part of the event, for example the hotels they stay at on Gumball 300.
