Does anyone else judge a spot based on where it's taken? I, for instance, prefer a shot taken in rural Colorado than I do an urban shot of an exotic. Somehow the magic of the spotting is so much more engaging when the spotting location is where you wouldn't expect an exotic to be. Example: Seeing a picture of an Aventador on Knightsbridge in London or Ferrari F430 outside of Dubai Mall is somehow less magical than rural South Africa or the countryside of Chile. It might just be me who feels this way, but I'd be interested to hear your thoughts.

I know exactly what you mean. Least expected spots are always the best. However, I will take as many spots as I get. Pretty much every exotic car increases my heart rate just a little bit.

There are only two places where i judge photos based on location.
Photos from Toronto i must like/fav because that's where im from and im happy to see things from this city.

but!

photos from Monterrey/pebble beach i don't usually like/fav because i don't truly feel as if that's car spotting.

Freeway shots are as spontaneous as you can possibly get. Obviously my favorites. There's no way to predict any exotic will even pass you by at any moment. Let alone not knowing if you'll be able to react quick enough to snap a decent shot. Thats what makes them so special. Plus, you get to hear the engine in all its glory when they pass you at high speed. A nice little thrill.

I don't like or favorite shots from much of California, unless it is a rare color or special model. I think that is about the only place I do that with.

I like driveway spots, especially ones with large houses. Also typical driving shots on random roads in traffic and all.

I like regardless on where it was spotted, an exotic is an exotic at the end of the day.

I like spots from Ohio, spots with a cool background, and just whatever suits my fancy at the time :D

I like spots at the Dubai Mall and the grass lot for the Pebble Beach Concours the most but it's not like i put a like on them more often than i do others, i just think those are cool looking locations.
