Which is a better location for spotting? Los Angeles or San Francisco? I always thought it would be L.A. but everybody else is trying to tell me San Fran has more exotics and classics.

LA is better for spotting. San Francisco does have a good amount of exotics, but they're hard to find. Also the actual city of San Francisco is not that great for spotting, but smaller cities in Silicon Valley like Atherton, Palo Alto, and Menlo Park would be better. I see a lot in San Francisco because my school is right next to a Lamborghini dealership.

Los Angeles is many, many times better for spotting from what I saw.

Alright, cool. And how far apart are the two? If i had a room in S.F., do you think i'd be able to drive to L.A. For college each morning?

Lol no. It takes at least about 7 hours to drive.

L.A. to 'Frisco can be driven in 6 hours in normal traffic on driving around 75 mph (taking the 5 freeway). Now, if you want to take the scenic route (101 freeway), it'll take about 7 hours. I drive it almost every year. And L.A. is a MUCH better city for spotting exotics. It isn't even a close debate.

LA of course. SF has some nice cars but you won't see as much.

If you do ever go to San Francisco, make sure you never call it "San Fran" or "Frisco" especially, because we hate that. You should only say "San Francisco". You can get away with typing "SF" or MAYBE "San Fran", since the name's so long, but just don't even think about saying "Frisco".

Haa! It's an L.A./S.F. rivalry. No worries. Believe me, there's much worse things I could've called San Francisco. We'll leave it at that. Anyways, my original point stands.

Lol. Okay. Thanks everybody. I'll rent an appartment in Los Angeles then so i can spend time in both. I have relatives in San Francisco who's house i can stay at when i go there but i didn't know if it would be worth it to skip on LA. Seems like there's exotics in both cities though so i'll try to split my time when i'm not in college.
