I was driving up West End toward downtown Nashville, and a black Jaguar XJ220 passed me going the other way. By the time I was able to turn around and try to follow, I lost it. Didn't get a photo, and I'm kinda devastated. Anyone want to share their stories of "The one that got away"?

Last month, I was headed to a reception party for a Concours, and on the way there, I saw a Ferrari 400 Superamerica coming on the other side of the Merritt Parkway, so I got my camera ready, and right when I was about to take a photo, a gigantic semi comes, and blocks my shot.

This just happened to me tonight! I was riding in the car and on the other side of the freeway a Lamborghini Gallardo Super Trofeo Stradale flew by. That was a sad moment.

I've been on the lookout for the 1/1 Verde Scandal Aventador, which is in my area now. I went to Cars & Caffeine today in San Jose, and I was expecting it to be there, but it wasn't. Then, I was coming home on the freeway today and I saw it go by on the other side. Devastated.

Also today, I was getting into my car when I saw a matte black C 63 AMG Black Series go by, also on the other side of the road.

Coming home from work, 5 DMC Deloreans came flying by the other side, when my damn phone died on me.

Also a Aventador and a MP4-12C combo flew by me on the highway a few days ago

Other than what I have missed before I started taking pictures of cars, I didn't have a camera when I saw a combo of 2 phantoms, 2 Bentleys and an SLS AMG. Yesterday, I also didn't have a camera when I saw an insane 599, that almost looked like an Alonso edition. Also, last month I couldn't get a picture of a speeding F12, twice! It sucked!

drove passed a Miura going the other way in San Diego. Last night in Manhattan, I missed a pic of a LFA and the new viper.

Saw my only c63 AMG black series when I though I had no chance of getting a picture then I slowly realised that I had more than enough time because we were only going 30-40 mph. But it was too late

Besides just missing the shot, there's also the problem I keep encountering- Black cars at night, or parked in shadow. I spotted a black McLaren MP4-12C downtown at night about two weeks ago, and couldn't get a decent photo no matter what I tried.

C63 AMG Black Series - My battery died right when it drove by.
575 Superamerica - My camera was acting up and chose to froze on me.
Vanquish - It was leaving the parking lot when I saw it and it was night time so I didn't have time to change my camera settings.
