If I go, I probably will only be able to stay for 2 or 3 days, and not the full 5 days. Which days should I go and what should I do there?

If only for three days, go Friday Saturday Sunday. Friday is The Quail and/or Concorso Italiano, Saturday is the best for spotting, and Sunday is the Concours.

Actually, I don't think I can go on Friday because I have to go to some sort of stupid school registration thing. I don't think I can miss that without it being a problem later. Also, I'll probably only be there for free events and spotting. How are the other days for that?

Tuesday through Sunday are awesome for spotting, with each day getting better than the last. For The Quail and Concorso, you don't even need to go in because the spectator lots are unbelievable all day, then the show cars leave so you can see them without paying. But since you can't go Friday that's irrelevant. Sunday you pretty much have to go to the Concours, so I guess that's out. Honestly if you drove down just for Saturday then it would be so worth it. You'll see 5+ Veyrons, a Huayra or two and almost anything else you could think of.

Well, I live about three hours away, so I pretty much have two options:
1. Drive down on Tuesday (or maybe even Monday) and come back Thursday night.
2. Drive down on Friday and get there at like 6 pm and come back Sunday night or Monday morning.

Which would be better do you think?

Nope, went last year though. I was considering going next year but I'm going to save the money a bit longer. I'll be back eventually though. If you have any questions about locations and such for spotting, I can tell you just about everything you need to know.

I'll be going on Saturday. So do you think you could explain what places or what I should spend on money? Or what...?

It is my first time going so I'm not really so sure what to participate or to just go around looking at pictures of cars.

Saturday - I suggest you go into Pebble Beach and stay for a while. Hang around The Lodge and Casa Palmero, that's where the Veyrons will be staying. Other things will pass through, including concepts for the Concours heading to the lawn. In the early evening, go back to Ocean Ave in Carmel for some more good spotting. Check the hotels (Hilton Garden Inn, Hyatt, Inn at Spanish Bay). Try going at night when all the owners are in, except for Spanish Bay because the lighting sucks at night. Also, there will be a big Lamborghini event at Pasadera Country Club in Monterey this evening, it could definitely be worth checking out. The place is great for shooting but try to get there prior to the event because I don't think it's a public event.

None of that costs money except for the toll to get into Pebble Beach.

You can ask andrewo for some of the auctions to go to, but what I told you is best for spotting.

You will be arriving on Saturday? If so, then I suggest going to the races on Saturday, Carmel in the evening, RM or Gooding auction that night, the Concours on Sunday, and then Gooding that evening. Good luck finding a place to stay if you don't have one.

Thanks guys W16 & Andrewo.

I will probably not be staying overnight but still I am pretty excited for it.

Also, any good places to eat that isn't too expensive? (Lunch + Dinner)

One last thing, what is this Cars & Coffee event? Is it any good?

Don't waste your time going to it. It isn't very good. There are lots of cheap and expensive restaurants in the area so that won't be too much of a problem.

I could get there around 5:30 pm on Friday. Is there anything good around that time?

Yeah you can go to RM, Russo and Steele, or just go look around Carmel that night.
