I thought I'd make a poll asking the community whether or not it is legal to post two spottings of one car by a single user. I have done it in the past one time but I have never done it since.

So what do you think? Legal or illegal?

That's not the point. If you've already got two pictures of a car and you spot it again, are you allow to post it again?

i had quite alot of doubles, but deleted them all apart from one
personally i think it all depends on the car and how the picture was taken

like nobody wants to see the same Model s twice

but i think like the one i have up the heritage edition ford gt its a rare model
one shot is parked the other is moving, and they arnt in the same spot or area or date

so i think as long as it isnt in the same spot and its a worthy car then should be ok

another thing i wouldnt upload another more shots of it wouldnt over do it

I think it's legal as long as the car is in a different location.

I'm going to say that it is illegal if you already have two shots of the car, unless you delete one of them.

The rules specifically say only 2 shots of any ONE car:

Can't upload the same car 2 different times.

If the license plate isn't in the shot, there is no proof that it is the same car. The license plate may be out of the shot on purpose or it may be by chance. Besides that, there is absolutely no way to tell if it is the same car or not unless the car is a one-off or with the same general background. Thus, if the car isn't in the same spot and no LP is in the shot, only god knows if it's the same car or not.

It would suck if it was illegal because two people could have two very nice pictures of koenigsegg's from different angles but only one could be uploaded

That's not the issue up for debate. The issue is, for example, one person spotted a lamborghini murcielago parked in london on may 1st. Then, that same person spots that same car on June 1st on the complete other side of town driving down some street. They are questioning the legality of whether or not the person could upload 2 photos from the first encounter and then 2 more from the second encounter.

As long as its a different angle or location it should be legal. I have uploaded the same R8 GT Spyder many times but only when there's another car next to it to make a combo.

I'd have to say legal as long as its not in the same place. Besides, unless it has a vanity plate it could be a different car that just looks the same, I've seen two of the exact same Porsche 911s within 5 minutes of each other on the interstate.
