This is a gray area in my opinion, but I'd like to ask about it. On multiple occasions I've been at a show where exotics are parked in the spectator lot and I shoot a few pics, then at some point afterward the car enters the show. So technically, when I saw the car it counted as a spot.

For example, I went to a show where there was a GT3 RS and F10 M5 in the spectator lot, but the show was a real bust and the guy running it invited them into the show. When I shot the photos, there was nothing illegal about it but eventually the cars went in. Would that make it illegal?

I find it 100% legal, hopefully others will too because I can't find anything wrong with it.

100% legit. It was not at a show so I don't see how it isn't legit. Its not like you KNEW it would be at the show.

There should be no penalty for that. I find it perfectly legal

My posts from Pocono Manor are at the event's host hotel and everyone said it was fine. But someone else posted from the FCA meet and it totally blew up so I'd be cautious with posting them.

I don't post spectator spots (then again, I don't post here anymore anyway haha).

What if you're down the street from a show parked in a parking lot to take a phone call and an exotic drives by that is going to the show but you have absolutely no idea at the time that it would be turning in (or even what's at the show at all) and then after you end the call you go to the show and the car happens to be there? Is that legit or no? I dont see why it would be illegal but i wanted some other opinions on it.

I think that differs from my situation. I was at the shows and specifically saw them outside the show, not immediately involved with it. You saw them driving in which doesn't differ at all from the cars entering/leaving The Quail or any other show, regardless of whether you knew or not.

100% legal. In a show, there is no way a Prius would be allowed, but in the spectator lot, exotic and classic cars are mixed in with normal, everyday cars, so there is no telling what will show up.

I've personally never approved of car club spectator lots. Otherwise, no problem.
