IDK how to say this but this sounds really stupid...

From what I've heard, there had been talks recently in Indonesia that certain groups were trying to 'privatize' certain car spotting scenarios with some nonsense reasons.

I mean, on spots like this:





These were spots on the wild/public area and it's also not a private event/property either - and you tried to privatize it? The question is: how other people were going to spot cooler cars and enjoy car spotting if you 'privatize' the scenario?

This recently happened on Tirtayasa Street (basically the Indonesian version of London's Sloane Street).

There were certain car spotters who I've heard told an owner of a Dodge Challenger SRT Demon to perform a burnout right in front of the church just for excitement, while there were people in the church doing a prayer. Also, revving, reckless driving and other silly car actions were not unheard of.

Not only that, I've heard that many of the locals there were complaining about those noises and reckless driving. Also, not every people in the car community were happy about that (me included), they even condone such actions as cancer.

Although I've never ever condone any car owners to do such actions (despite being a car spotter myself), this is just stupid tbh... just imagine if the Sloane Street incident in London happened again here, the police guarded the place and NO ONE could ever hang out there again every Sunday morning. Ouch.

Yes, you can be excited, but please, control it.
