FYI my name is Zach. Also me and Justin will shut up when we want to shut up. I'm not sure about Justin, but right now, at this moment, now, the upcoming future, I don't want to shut up. I will let you know when I want to shut up but don't be expecting a "I want to shut up now" ANYtime soon.

I don't want to prolong this argument, but if your only goal in life is to become rich and popular, your priorities are seriously messed up.

Then let me ask you, what is your goal in life?

Just to make people mad at you on the internet because you feel safe behind a computer screen?

My goal in life is to be successful at whatever God wants me to do. Sure, becoming wealthy would be great, but why should it be a main priority? Absolutely none of it goes with you when you die. I find my identity in Jesus, God's son who died for our sins and who will grant us eternal life if we believe in him, not drugs and money that will ultimately come to an end far too soon.

When you go, what do you want to be remembered as? The cocky dude that was always doing drugs and bragged about how great him and all is money was, or the guy that was always compassionate, cared about others, and made a great difference in the world?

Check out this song. It's rap so you'll probably enjoy it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EFVV5SXqqrA

I know nothing goes with you when you die and that's why i want to make the most of it while i'm still here. And i can make billions of dollars and live the life i want to and still be compassionate, care about others, and make a difference in the world. You do realize i don't have to choose just one right? And i'm religious too and i can live a life following the light of Christ but have fun while i do.

Now that is a really good way of putting it, and is also taking it to levels that I had never even thought of. Brilliant words Shane.

As much as I like expensive things and money, that certainly isn't my goal in life. I just want to be happy, doing a job that I enjoy so I can support a wife and hopefully a couple of kids. While I can't say much for the religious aspect of Shane's post (not very religious anymore), it is very well said.

Maybe i just have a different life goal than you do. I LOVE money, it's even part of my legal signiture (yes, i sign my contracts and legal documents as $am $hur). And it is my goal to get as much of it as i possibly can.
But i have the time to do that because i don't have the need in life to get married and i do plan on having kids but i wouldn't be sad if i don't and i'll have the money to spoil them just because i feel like it if i do.

I'm assuming you've heard the old saying "Money can't buy you happiness." While it can buy you lots of things that are enjoyable, I've never seen people be truly happy solely because of money. Or in the rare event that they are happy because of their money, it's because they're using their money for the betterment of their community.

Well, it's not like i'm not going to use my money for charitable causes as well, just some of it is going into my collection of Mansions, businesses, cars, and yachts. And money may not buy happiness but it's a big step in that direction if used right. But it's not the money i enjoy the most, it's the feeling of success i get from earning it. Success is what drives me through life and that is the reason i set huge goals.

And yes, i am aware of the oddly placed double negative in that first sentence but i'm not sure how to put it otherwise.

Money isn't the only way to actually feel successful. There are plenty of other ways to do it. Raising a proper family is one, or even just accomplishing something is another thing. And also, money is absolutely not needed to be happy.

I've been to serve in areas that are so poor their houses are made from cardboard and tin sheets, and the orphans living there have nearly nothing, but you know what? They showed me that money wasn't needed at all to be happy. So many of the people I saw were truly happy, despite being in what we'd call a horrible and poor situation. Then, when they got things that did require money and were a commodity (a certain kind of food, a trip to an amusement park) they were truly grateful that they were able to get it.

I don't know about you, but myself and many others I've seen feel plenty successful even without setting large and extreme goals.

You don't know about me and we've definitely lived different lives so where-as you may have that opinion on life, i do not.

I do live a life where success is what i thrive on and whatever someone says, i won't change my way of living. It's how i've gone through life and how i will continue because it's just the kind of person i am. Money and power are my goals and i will acheive those very things nomatter what it takes. End of story.

My life goal is to live healthy, have a small house, and 1 nice car. That's all I need and want, and i'll never expect more.

The thing about power is a new one. You're beginning to sound more and more like a classic Bond villian or even simply Dr. Evil, wanting nothing more than money and power and willing to stop at nothing to get it. I think everyone kind of thrives on success of some sort, so there's nothing really unusual about that anyway. If your life was one constant string of failures I think it'd be impossible really to be satisfied at all.
