No, I don't get what you're saying, not at all. Money is merely important and life sustaining because that is what is demanded by our civilization, however it isn't necessarily necessary for one's survival.

It is necessary if you ever want to either survive or have fun.

In the past, you have talked about how you fail classes in school and do drugs. That's not really a good sign of success.

If you claim to be a Christian, does 1 Timothy 6:10 not mean anything to you?

"For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Chasing millions will never satisfy you, man. You'll hit one million and say, "Oh, this isn't enough, if only I can get ten million!" Then you'll get ten million and say, "Oh, this is pretty good but 50 million would be so much better!" Then if you're ridiculously fortunate, you'll hit a billion and say, "This just isn't enough, I need ten billion!"

You see what I'm saying? The cycle never ends. No matter how much you get, you'll keep on wanting more and more, and it will get to the point where you will do outrageous things to attain those "goals."

Did I not say that both of those things were merely like that because our society dictates it? Things cost money, as do services. You don't need extremely large amounts of money to survive and you don't even need that much to have fun.

I live my life by a "Get rich or die tryin" mentality.

I don't want to prolong this argument, but if your only goal in life is to become rich and popular, your priorities are seriously messed up.

Then let me ask you, what is your goal in life?

Just to make people mad at you on the internet because you feel safe behind a computer screen?

My goal in life is to be successful at whatever God wants me to do. Sure, becoming wealthy would be great, but why should it be a main priority? Absolutely none of it goes with you when you die. I find my identity in Jesus, God's son who died for our sins and who will grant us eternal life if we believe in him, not drugs and money that will ultimately come to an end far too soon.

When you go, what do you want to be remembered as? The cocky dude that was always doing drugs and bragged about how great him and all is money was, or the guy that was always compassionate, cared about others, and made a great difference in the world?

Check out this song. It's rap so you'll probably enjoy it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EFVV5SXqqrA

I know nothing goes with you when you die and that's why i want to make the most of it while i'm still here. And i can make billions of dollars and live the life i want to and still be compassionate, care about others, and make a difference in the world. You do realize i don't have to choose just one right? And i'm religious too and i can live a life following the light of Christ but have fun while i do.

"No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money."
Matthew 6:24

I know that one's in there but that is the one line i disagree with quite a bit. I don't think you have to choose just one, there are lots of people earning massive amounts of money that still do follow Christ and do it well. And even the poorest of people with no money at all do have to live a life chasing money just to get that 50 cents to buy their next meal. If god's ever-forgiving, i don't think all of the world would be discriminated against just because they are on a never ending journey to earn more money for sustainance. Deep down, everyone does love money whether they like to admit it or not.

And with your second paragraph, as i was telling Justin, that is EXACTLY how it goes, i won't disagree with that, because that is the part i like the most. I like setting the next checkpoint to go after because it's not strictly the money i'm aiming for, it's the achieving the checkpoint that's the most fun for me. We ended up on a topic of failure somehow (no clue how) but it's the success that makes me like to keep going forward.

Actually, for me, since it's already been ingrained in my brain that i do need that much to have fun, i do. There is no going back once a goal has been set for me because that very change alone would be what i would consider failure. A failure to hit my goal.

Yeah it was a new Wraith. I missed the shots, because I was on the highway. I'm now in Maine at my beachhouse but all that was on the way here :)
