Can't he still get it back for only a few hundred dollars?
It's probably impounded, since the guy was arrested. It's harder to get an impounded car back than a car towed for parking.

I think its two things. 1 the ELR is overpriced. 2 its a cadillac. It would sell better if it was a Lexus or Acura. A hybrid "sports coupe" or whatever you want to call it is not something you expect from Cadillac. Nor does it appeal to their market. The people who drive Cadillacs aren't interested in that type of car of a car that complicated. The V line is a bit outlandish too. Those are for people who don't want a M5 because they don't realize how great of a car that is. i.e My next door neighbor.

Ive seen more ghiblis than I can count or care about. But strangely Ive seen more Grantourismos. The sales rep told me they sell 4 ghiblis for every 1 quattroporte and 3 granturismos for every 1 qp.
