And yes, carbon fibre is indeed a thermoplastic polymer.

And yes, the ZR1 does have some plastic which really disappoints me. It also has more carbon fibre on it than you can tell. The interior has a lot of it and the body is composed of carbon fibre. The only visible plastic on the outside of the car is the rear panel and a portion of the front bumper.

I like the plastic cars. The GT500 has quite a bit of plastic and i love that. Just like the Corvette ZR1. Those are fast and stylish as well.

In the 1930's, America made a ton of amazing cars. in the 1960's, America made a ton of Amazing cars. Since 2004, almost every car America has made has been an AMAZING car!!!!!!

OutlawJones, i agree with a lot of the things you are saying. Other than the fact that you're insulting Top Gear (although i sometimes have very different opinions than them, it's still the best show ever) and Ferraris dont have an extreme amount of plastic in them but they do have quite a bit.

It's okay for Ferraris to be plastic because they're...Ferrari?? If you're going to be bitchy about the materials, then it's "plastic-y" quarter million cars that you should be worried about. The GT500 is "fast" because its infested with plastic which also helps out with the price tag. The plastic makes it lighter weight.

And because GT500's have performance, handling, style, class, speed, sound, and sexiness. And they represent everything Shelby, a legend, stood for. They're one of the best cars ever made and they always will be. Even Jeremy Clarkson likes them.

How about this, if i ever find you in person, i'll go rent a GT500. Once i've rented it, we're going to have a race. You can be in any one of the cars you own (ferrari, BMW, whatever) and we'll have 2 races. One a street race through a crowded city, and the other a drag race on a track.
