I think it has something to do with the airbags. Same problem the Huayra had(before production) I believe.

Maybe you guys think it´s a stupid question, but why are Koenigseggs illegal in the US (I´m from Denmark ;-) )

They're illegal, but I think this one was specially made to be legal(?). Not completely sure, I'll need someone else to confirm.
