Regarding the Bugatti/Koenigsegg battle, let me just point out that in the early 90s Jaguar made 220mph, which was instantly obliterated by a brutal haymaker from Mclaren. In 1938, boats had already breached the 130mph mark! I mention this to point out that aside from being slightly quicker than their decades-old predecessors, they are not much more capable. It is my belief that true car enthusiasm will be squashed by this never-ending goal to tack mph ticks to top speeds at the expense of real development.
