Description A older shot of a countach I spotted back in 2012 on East 5th street and North College Street. This was the only exotic found on this visit to North Carolina.
I can only imagine how many daily visitors these guys get hoping on sticking their heads into the shop. It really blew me away on how much inventory that they had foremost in the warehouse. To see the different stages of assembly was a great thing to view.
Thanks guys! I really need to visit Charlotte before the end of the year. I would really love to check out the Underground Racing facility again. This is such an amazing operation.
@Mazda, yes my name is actually George lol. I know it's a 5000 QV, but there's more to it. The 5000 QV came to the states with injection (and less power) than the Euro model, which was carbureted. The injection model featured a decklid like the one in this photo, but had ugly US spec bumpers, which are not on this vehicle, which makes this Countach rather anamalous. Ultimately, the point of this post (and most of my posts) is to appear to know everything, so don't rain on my parade please.
What an interesting car. It appears to be an injection 5000 QV model, which means the US spec bumpers that would have come with it have been removed. I love it without the wing and bumpers, it does make it appear to be one of the older models as Mustang1 incorrectly pointed out. Great spot! LF
Great find! I saw this one at a car show a little over a year ago so I think it's still in the Charlotte area. Haven't spotted it, or any other Lamborghini older than a Gallardo on the streets, yet though.
