Hi Jafo. Lamborghini has been using this style wing for awhile on their special race inspired Gallardo's. ( Gallardo SL.Performante,LP570-4 SL) I cannot imagine that it has not been tested thoroughly in a wind tunnel or in their initial road and development work.
These cars are capable of reaching high triple digits speeds. The law suits would be enormous if one failed. In the Lamborghini driving programs they have used these models religiously on tracks all over the world with no ill effects. If it just comes down to the looks it's just personal preference I think.
I guess I'm a bit unreasonable on the topic of wings. I understand their practical benefits and that's perhaps why I'm calling this one out. It's too small and flimsy looking to be anything but cosmetic. That said, I kinda like it despite knowing it does nothing. So that's why I'm calling it a lady's fashion accessory.
Thanks everyone. Jafo anytime you have the rear wing above the vehicles roof line it will add down force. Having a adjustable one really would be an asset. I remember reading that the old Countach was a faster car (top speed) by 10 mph when the optional wing was removed. I always liked the look of that Lambo with it on.
Nice! Another night shot, looks pretty cool! But I have to comment on the spoiler.. Can that actually generate downforce or is that just a Fasinator for your Bull to wear?
