How come people comment on this photo so often? I mean nice photo, but over 4200 comments?

My example: yesterday it was 30 degrees today it's 27 degrees. It is nicer today.

That's what a normal person would say. Not:
It was 30.001 degrees Celsius yesterday but it's 27.499999 degrees celsius today. It is slightly cooler today as the weather system from the south has moved north. No cloud cover however a 10 kp/h breeze has set in.

A normal person doesn't need to speak like that, so why use Fahrenheit?

Ok, I know my comment made no sense, but who cares! :P

My school is really weird though. We use mostly metric and have some of the highest grades and one of the highest passing rates in New York but the students in my school behave so badly that out school (1 hour away from the nearest city) is in the middle of nowhere and is consitterred an "inner-city school"

Justin: True, it may be more accurate but that mAkes it more complicated. It was 120 F a couple weeks ago here.

My school only allows metric measurements too. We get in trouble if we dont.

Don't forget that Australia started using the metric system of measurement in the 1960's. That means that America could do the same for Temperature, right?

Superleggera: I think it would work if you started teaching german at an early age... Like 3
Djshift: do ou mean you use Kelvin in measurement of the temperature daily? Wow.

In my school, they give us physics reference tables and we never talk about it.

In fact, we mostly just use Kelvin

That wouldn't work. That's like teaching everybody in the US to speak German so German-Americans can all live in harmony with us. It just can't happen.

See? They should slowly increase how long they teach you it until its the whole system you go by... It just makes sense. Kind of.
