Ok, if she has the share everything plan on Verizon, you get the hotspot feature for free. If not, it costs $20 extra a month.

Go to Settings > General > Cellular > Personal Hotspot

Then set a password and turn it on.

Well Justin, I technically CAN use it outside the USA, but it might cost a little bit extra. :P

Jason, does she have Verizon Wireless? If she does, I can tell you how to use it.

I'm using my iPhone 5 as a Verizon 4G Mobile Hotspot. My iPad is tethered to my iPhone so I can use the internet wherever in the world I am. :D

It's not a vacation. It's to help out my cousin who is in college. Her father just had an affair (they're from Pennsylvania) and now her father won't even talk to his daughter who, like I said, goes to school at WVU in West Virginia. She's been through a rough few weeks so her mom and brother are meeting us there for her birthday. It will probably take about 8 or 9 hours because snow is covering the roads and people are only doing 50-55mph.
